Maintaining momentum is crucial in this trial. Slowing down due to unlucky random traffic can cost several seconds, as regaining speed on an uphill dirt road takes time.
Using kerb and brake boosts makes this time trial doable with a few seconds to spare.
A boring trial with mainly straight-line driving and a generous time limit. Just don't crash and you'll make it.
Another boring time trial with a generous time limit. Lost a few seconds looking for a good spot to drive off the highway and up the hill.
The time limit for this trial is tight. I use the gutter on the highway for kerb boosting and try to cut corners as much as possible, and I still barely made it.
Very generous time limit. Lots of time to spare despite suboptimal route and driving.
Another easy trial.
Snow made this one a bit more challenging than usual :)
Mostly driving in a straight line. Yawn.
With a proper route, there's ample time to spare, but executing this route is challenging. There's a risky turn through the gas station and an off-road section at the end, with jumps and many bushes which can spin the car around.
Trivial to do under par, but annoying to optimize due to traffic RNG, physics RNG, bad hit boxes, and plants made of concrete.
Mostly driving in a straight line, but Adder is barely fast enough to make it.
This trial would be easy if not for city traffic getting in the way.
Shortcuts inspired by Gfred make this trial quite easy to do.
Too easy, so I tried to reach sub 1:30 for additional challenge.
Bad driving. First try. More that 10s left on the clock. Another easy one.
Average difficulty trial. Unlucky traffic can easily ruin it, but it was ok during this run.
Quite difficult trial with lots of rocks and bushes to avoid.
This trial features lengthy off-road sections, numerous bushes and other obstacles, and a tight time limit. While each section is manageable, completing them all in one go without significant time loss is challenging. This run is far from perfect and still required many attempts.
This is a mostly straight-line drive with a generous time limit.
Above average difficulty trial with problematic off-road sections. Car spinning bushes were a major obstacle, until I found a route to avoid them as much as possible.
Difficult trial with two precise jumps required to fit within the time limit.
Mostly straight line driving, but there's not much time to spare, and the finish checkpoint location can easily lead to some... fireworks.
A relaxing "train tracks → airport → quarry" road trip. Unless a train spawns at the worst possible place, there's ample time to drive like a sunday driver and still make it.
Winding roads of Blain County and Vinewood Hills. There's probably a better route for this, but the time limit is high enough that you don't have to worry about the route, you can crash as I did, and still finish under par.
A short trial with a tight time limit. I'm trying as much kerb boosting as possible to keep my speed up.
Two mostly straight roads and one corner, but there's not much time, so kerb boosts are highly recommended.
This time trial initially appeared daunting, but with a proper route, it became easy. I ended up optimizing it quite a lot.
A minute of driving in a straight line, then panic at the end as time is running out, and the way to the finish is blocked by parked cars.
A Gfred-like route for those who don't have a hangar in Zancudo, and don't want to risk being blown up by a tank. Maybe even the fastest route, as I have beaten my best Zancudo route time, and finished with plenty of time left.
A pleasant drive though the outskirts of LS and along the Ocean Highway, with no crazy shortcuts and still a lot of time to spare. There's probably a better route, but who cares.
My first ever Down Chilliad time trial using Bati 801.
More than half a minute below par run, with big shortcuts, using Bati 801 and gliding technique to extend jump distance.
Even a rusty Cheburek can do this trial comfortably within the time limit.
Gfred like route using the classic Gfredding car - 9F.
